Sometimes faking it is the fastest way to make it

I got a cold DM on LinkedIn a while back. It was someone promising that they could dramatically increase my social media following. Views, followers, engagement, business enquiries. The whole shebang. They’d boost it all with their “proven frameworks”.
I took a look at their profile. They had less than 10% of my followers and very little engagement on their posts. What could they possibly do to help me?
A few months later I saw this person pop up in my feed again. Their follower count was ten times larger and their posts were getting a lot of engagement.
Sometimes fake it ‘til you make it is a very useful strategy.
Getting the experience to grow your skills is often the hardest part when you’re starting out.
I’m not saying we should all lie. I’m advocating for confidence.
Confidence that you will eventually figure it out.

"thoughts" are quickly written ideas, observations and opinions. they're rarely edited as they're just a way for me to get something out there easily - like social media posts.
