So let's keep it simple.
I help businesses with their Learning and Development (L&D) needs.
Stuff like:
- Creating an organisational learning strategy.
- Building and managing L&D initiatives.
- Upskilling L&D teams.
I also occasionally advise L&D agencies and EdTech companies, help businesses break into the L&D market, and create new products and services.
I'm based in Australia but mostly work remotely with clients all over the world.
So... why would you hire me?
Well, I've been doing this a while – over 15 years now. I've worked as a member of internal L&D teams, been an external consultant, and have run an L&D business servicing hundreds of clients. My experience covers Instructional Design, EdTech, project management and learning strategy. I've seen the good and bad of L&D and my work has covered just about every industry – I've got a pretty good idea of what works and what doesn't.
Prior to that I've worked in management roles in telecommunications, sales/customer service, transport, logistics and management consulting. This gave me a solid foundation in understanding the challenges of people management and business in general. I've seen first-hand the impact successful training and learning can have on organisations.
My approach to consulting is like this site – straightforward and simple. I aim to be easy to work with and honest about what you do and don't need. I don't want to waste your time and money with pointless meetings and over the top project management. We agree on a outcome and I work to make sure we achieve it in the most efficient and effective way possible.
